Helping individuals, couples, and parents figure out what's really underneath the arguments, the distance, and the feelings that don't quite add up, without breaking the bonds that matter — easing the hurt that builds up in the relationships you care about most.

Hi! I'm Kari Paidin (she/her), LMFT, Owner of Lofn Therapy.

I am a couples and family therapist who works with people (ages 16 and up) who feel stuck, helping them find their way to more feelings of okayness. My clients are willing to explore how old patterns — often rooted in the families they grew up in — show up in their relationships today, and to find new ways of communicating their needs to the people they love. In the process, they learn to listen to their inner knowing and trust what they hear. My approach is direct and honest, with a little humor: I'll help you explore all parts of you, face what feels hard, and make room for real change.

Lofn (LAH-fuhn) is a Nordic word evoking gentleness, reconciliation, and moving past painful obstacles — invoked to soothe distress and make impossible paths smooth again. That's the spirit behind Lofn Therapy: compassionate, inclusive, client-centered care for individuals, couples and parents.

Real Support For What You're Carrying

Your relationships keep hitting the same tangled patterns, no matter how hard you try to fix them.

Something feels off, even if you can't quite put your finger on why.

Even as an adult, your relationship with a parent still causes more distress than you'd like to admit.

You're more irritable and short-tempered with the people who matter most.

You crave connection, but end up isolating at home, wondering how everyone else has it together.

You're doing your best as a parent, but some days it doesn't feel like enough.
